What is a Screencast?
A screencast is a recording of events happening on a computer screen. The screencast is viewed by your inteded audience for the purpose of presentation, showcasing a product, visual and audio support for a product or service, and employee and client training.
How does it work?
Unlike a video, a screencast is a high resolution capture of the images displayed on the source monitor. The captures are then edited, where a voice over and additional animations can be added. The file is then converted to a format selected by you (commonly prepared for web, iPod, or CD. The files are then viewed by the end-user and are able to be controlled.
